Description
Curriculum fidelity is about more than confirming that lesson plans are complete or that teachers are using an approved curriculum. Head Start leaders need practical ways to understand what curriculum implementation actually looks like across classrooms, recognize inconsistencies, support appropriate individualization, and respond to implementation challenges without making monitoring feel punitive.
This session will explore practical strategies for strengthening curriculum fidelity through planning, observation, staff reflection, coaching, monitoring systems, and continuous improvement. Participants will consider how multiple sources of information can help leaders develop a clearer picture of curriculum implementation and identify where additional support may be needed.
Throughout the session, participants will also explore ways technology can help leaders streamline monitoring, improve visibility across classrooms, support staff, and strengthen connections between planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
