The Learning Journey: Communicate with Impact is a flexible, self-paced professional development experience designed to strengthen communication, feedback, professional growth, and workplace well-being across Head Start programs.

Led by Dr. Joe Hirsch, the Learning Journey combines short videos, articles, podcasts, reflections, practical resources, and activities that participants can complete on their own schedule. Each module focuses on strategies that can be applied to everyday interactions with colleagues, teams, and the people you support.

The Learning Journey is designed for Head Start and Early Head Start professionals at all levels, including:

  • Teachers and education staff

  • Family services and support staff

  • Program and administrative staff

  • Managers and supervisors

  • Directors and other program leaders

Some learning activities include additional content specifically designed for managers and directors, while the core Learning Journey is relevant to professionals throughout a Head Start program.

Module 3: Messages That Matter: Boosting Workplace Well-Being

Flexible, Self-Paced Learning

Participants move through the Learning Journey on their own schedule through a combination of videos, podcasts, articles, reflections, assessments, and practical tools. The experience is designed to make professional development easier to fit into the workday while providing opportunities to reflect, practice, and apply new strategies.
