Comment on the Head Start NPRM

On August 6, 2026, the Department of Health and Human Services shared proposed changes to the Head Start Program Performance Standards. The proposed changes represent the largest ever overhaul of the standards. If enacted, these changes would significantly impact the children and families served and the services that they receive. You can find a summary of key takeaways here, a more detailed summary here, or read the entire proposed regulation here.

It is critical that we use our voices to tell the Department of Health and Human Services that this proposal cannot move forward. The comment form will ask for your name - if you would like to remain anonymous, you can simply enter your name as Anony Mouse.
