Updates from the Collab Office - August 2026

It has been an amazing few months of connecting with programs, state partners, and the Office of Head Start.   

I want to take this opportunity to highlight that the Department of Social Services, Child Care and Development Division, is holding input sessions for the development of the 2028-2030 Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan. A listserv announcement was sent on the afternoon of July 27 with the first three dates and locations.

An additional listserv announcement will be sent out with more information about future sessions once locations are secured in other regions of the state. This is an opportunity for Head Start-funded programs to promote Head Start as a partner in the mixed delivery system.

• Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm (In Person) 
  Sacramento CDSS Headquarters: 744 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 – 2^nd floor OB8 Conference Rooms 235 & 237. Upon arrival, please check in at the security desk for a visitor pass before proceeding to the conference rooms.
